Learn how to prepare for parenthood with this 2-hour, hands-on class that demonstrates newborn care techniques for your first weeks at home.

We hold group classes at both our South Boston Studio and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton as well as private, 1:1 sessions in your own home.

What to Expect

Class Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $100 (includes one support person)

Taught by a Postpartum Registered Nurse.

Topics Include:

  • Understanding the difference between a baby and an adult

  • Normal newborn behaviors

  • What to expect right after your delivery

  • Newborn poops and pees

  • Newborn sleep cycle

  • Newborn feeding patterns and ways to feed (breastfeeding vs. bottle feeding)

  • Introducing bottles and pumping

  • Feeding your baby, diapering your baby and bathing your baby

  • Soothing your baby with the 5 S's

  • Newborn safety, screening and vaccinations

  • Car seat safety

What to Expect

Class Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $220

Taught by a Postpartum Registered Nurse in the privacy of your own home.
